Mörby centrum (Tub2, line 24)

Mörby centrum was opened on 29 January 1978. It is the northern terminus of line 24. There is a small (four-track) yard north of the station.

Mörby centrum, waiting train

(18 September 2002)
A train of C20 stock has unloaded its passengers and is awaiting its departure time in the middle of the rush. At the right is the escalator bank that leads to and from the ticket hall. At the left, the sign that indicates which train is next to leave.

Mörby centrum, passage at north end

(18 September 2002)
This passage is at the north end of the platform. This view is from platform 2, looking over at platform 1. I think this part of the station very well captures the overall feel of the whole station.

Mörby centrum, station entrance

(18 September 2002)
The entrance to Mörby centrum. What's behind us here is an enclosed shopping mall, also called Mörby centrum. The station name sign still uses the old SL-grotesk typeface from 1955.

Mörby centrum, passengers exiting

(18 September 2002)
These passengers have arrived with the Cx train seen at platform 1 and are exiting the station. When I was taking these pictures in the rush hour, I was surprised at the number of passengers who use this station; I thought it was much quieter than it is.
